It is time to announce the quarterly winner of the *BeBrilliant Awards program. As ever, the award committee have struggled to pick a winner from the outstanding candidates recognized across the company. What has been extremely gratifying this quarter is the fact that as CleanMark continues to expand its operation across North America, it is evident that new staff members are adopting the CleanMark Community’s set of values and commitment to service excellence from the outset.

With that in mind, we’re delighted to bestow this quarter’s award on an individual who continues to show an unparalleled work ethic across an impressive scope of work.

*BeBrilliant Quarterly Award Winner: Tiandre Thomas

Please join us in congratulating Tiandre Thomas, who works at a distribution centre, Amsterdam, New York. Tiandre was kindly nominated by her manager Christopher Moore. We’d like to share Christopher’s nomination as we think it sums up the well-deserved award perfectly:

“On a daily basis, multiple times a shift, Tiandre services 14 restrooms, four breakrooms and two outdoor patios supporting up to 300 employees per shift; 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The scope of Tiandre’s work is immense and the obstacles she encounters numerous, but she always faces them head-on with a smile on her face.

She’s become the “go-to” for our building; everybody knows that if it needs to get done, speak to Tiandre. She’s been instrumental in implementing routines that have not only increased efficiency in her own scope of work, they’re helping to drive a culture shift in the building, helping customers and vendor partners interact as one team for the betterment of the facility overall.”

In addition to the high praise from her manager, colleagues and the whole of the CleanMark community, Tiandre will be receiving $100 in recognition of her award.

Honourable Mentions
Coming in a very close and commendable second are Stephen Phipps and George Ambrose.

Stephen Phipps works in Dayton, Ohio. Stephen was enthusiastically nominated for an award by his Area Manager in Ohio, Rashaan Kurtz, not just for his day-to-day hard work and can do attitude, but specifically for his willingness to literally go the extra mile. The incident in question? When asked at 11pm on the evening before to aid with a staffing issue in Columbus (some 75 miles away), Stephen was up and ready to go at 4am the next morning to assist Rashaan in successfully completing the assignment. Since then, he has proven himself to be a highly flexible and invaluable member of the team on numerous occasions.

George Ambrose, who works in Nova Scotia, was kindly nominated by his Territory Manager, Tarri Baker. In Tarri’s own words: “We received a sick call at one of our stores and I was working to ensure the opening was filled. I messaged George to see if he had heard anything from the unwell staff member – he said he hadn’t. It was his day off. I also tried contacting other staff to see if they could go in to cover the shift. Shortly afterwards, I realized via CleanMark’s time tracking system that George had gone in on his day off – he did not tell me he was going in, he just did it to ensure that our client was serviced.”

Stephen and George will be receiving $50 in recognition of their outstanding actions.
